Archant

Dunkeswell Outdoor Bowls Club’s annual presentation lunch was held at Lakeside Manor, Dunkeswell where 16 cups were presented during the afternoon, to winners and runners up of the seven competitions played; it was pure coincidence that eight went to the ladies and eight to the gents.

Thanks to Mimi and Di Eames for organising the dinner and raffle, and to Andy Smith who organised the competitions, also to John Hussey for presenting the prizes.

The prize winners for the 2012 season were: Novices Cup, winner: Bridget Hallowes; runner up Pat Smith; Ladies’ 4 Wood winner: Pearl Hackwood; Runner up: Linda Vince; Gent’s 4 Wood winner: Ian Wederell; Runner up: Tom Smith; 4 Wood Mixed pairs winners: Di Eames and Pearl Hackwood; Runners up: Tom Williams and Jose Williams; 3 Wood Singles winner: Jose Williams; runner up Mick Stoakes; 2 Wood Singles winner Ian Wederell; runner up Mick Stoakes; 4 Wood Handicap winner Tom Smith; runner up Mick Stoakes.

New members are always welcome to join and the new season will commence in April 2013.
