Morchard Bishop 5, Dunkeswell Rovers 4

The Dunks were abysmal for two thirds of this game, then decided to play, and nearly got something for their efforts!

Three down at the break they fell further behind before storming back to trail by just a single goal.

Pushing forward for an equaliser they were caught on the break, but still managed to add a fourth goal of their own in the closing minutes.

Steve Morris hit a hat-trick and Dave Matthews also netted. Boss Rod Hill said: “Hopefully we will learn from this that we cannot start to play after an hour when four goals down!”

On Saturday the Dunks begin their challenge for the Devon Intermediate Cup when they entertain Newtown in a 1st Round (East) tie.
