The Dulverton West hosts this Sunday’s meeting at Bratton Down and with the going good to soft, with a good covering of grass, a competitive day of action is on the cards. More than 140 entries have been received in all for the main card which begins at 1pm, with two pony races commencing before this at 11.45am, writes Donna Harris.

The restricted race has attracted 28 entries and entries include Alysia's Flame who looks a good each way bet having rattled up four seconds this season. Other entries include King Of Alcatraz and Little Cornham scored a second at Upcott Cross in April having won a Hunt Members at Cothelstone.

Next up is the Ladies’ Open. Alex Dunn's Double Mead has clocked up four wins this season, most recently when sent off the odds on favourite at Pentreclwdau. Prior to that he beat the mulitiple-winning Wee Fly at Wadebridge in March.

The intermediate has been sponsored by Mr and Mrs Willes, in memory of David Willes. Dashing John ran a good second to Gort Na Lea at Upcott Cross, Devon Mead won his restricted at Cothelstone, Grandturgeon has been consistent and could be another winner for Jane Williams and Sunken Secret won well at Flete winning the restricted and looks to be on the up.

The Pittard family sponsor the Men’s open in memory of Bob Pittard. Benedictus had been improving well before unseating his rider Jack Barber at the 18th fence in the Intermediate Final at Cheltenham when looking to challenge. Deb's Dasher by passed Trebudannon and will be looking to score here if ground suits. Gershwinner won at Holnicote last Saturday and Johny’s Way was a winner at Trebudannon last Sunday.

The final race of the day is the confined. Certain Flight acts on any ground and Jopero is a previous course winner here.
