Rogers secures eventing sponsorship

Tim Rogers of Tim Rogers Eventing is pleased to announce that Smith & Williamson, the accountancy and investment management group, will be renewing its sponsorship for the 2013 season.

Tim, who competes from his home near Axminster, commented: “I am extremely grateful to Smith & Williamson for its continued support this year; its sponsorship has really given my profile a boost and set the ball rolling on allowing me to approach additional sponsors.”

He continued: “Both the World Class Programme and Smith & Williamson have been a fantastic help, and I am greatly looking forward to this year’s season, which starts for me at Morton Horse Trials at the beginning of March.”

Penelope Lang, a Salisbury-based partner in private client tax services at Smith & Williamson said: “From our Salisbury office we provide nationwide advice on bloodstock and competition horses, and our sponsorship of Tim Rogers Eventing underpins our commitment to the equine market.

“Tim Rogers’ medal-winning history, involvement in the World Class Development Programme and numerous successes in the eventing world all make him the perfect candidate for sponsorship.”

“We are delighted to be supporting a talented young local rider who shows such fantastic potential for the future,” Penelope added.

Smith & Williamson is the eighth largest accountancy firm in the UK according to Accountancy Age magazine 2012.
