Exmouth paratriathlete David Hill is celebrating his first international podium finish in traiathlon.

Hill travelled to Yokohama, Japan, last weekend to compete in the ITU World Series Paratriathlon event, where he finished third in the PT4 class being the first Britain home.

A former paralympic swimmer, he showed his form in the swim section coming out of the water first into the transition for the cycle.

Hill is next in action in two weeks time at the ITU world paratriathlon event in Hyde Park, London which then leads on to the European Championships in Kitzbuhel, Austria in June and the World grand Final event in Edmonton, Canada in August.

The athlete would like to thank Knobblies Bikes and Anna Maria Mazzieri of The Massage Clinic in Exmouth for their support recently in getting him race-ready.

Hill was recently named runner-up together with swimmer Ruta Meilutyte in the Elite Performer of the year at the Exeter Foundation Devon Sports Award held at Sandy Park Exeter last Friday.
