Merson was on the star line with 170 others for the Kilmington Kanter a seven mile race run in East Devon.

Merson won in some style setting a new best for the event, beating his own previous best for the course, in a time of 38:36.

He followed that success with a first place in the Easter Monday Yeovilton Easter Bunny 10k race.

Wearing the colours of the Bristol and West club Merson left 360 other competitors behind to finish in a fantastic time of 30:28.
