Exmouth all-round sportsman Marc Herbert has just completed his latest sporting challenge.
Herbert is undertaking a number of challenges over the course of the year in a campaign by Operation Smile to raise money for the repair of cleft palettes and other facial deformities in the third world.
Herbert and two colleagues completed a 250-mile cycle ride from London to Paris in just over two-days.
The ride was unaided meaning that the cyclists carried all their own equipment with them.
The charity is close to the Herbert family who moved to Exmouth from Nottingham three years ago.
Marc and his wife Sarah, a doctor at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, had a daughter, Katie, born with Goldenhar Syndrome and she has a cleft palette.
Ten-month-old Katie is having an operation later this month in Bristol.
