Archant

A superb cod was caught by Exmouth Sea Angling Association member Martin ‘Taffy’ Pearce recently, writes Rob Pennells.

Pearce caught a lunker cod off the North Devon coast.

Fishing at low tide using double squid baits Pearce caught three cod a short session with the best weighing in at an outstanding 17lb 14oz.

The fish broke records at both the Exmouth SAA and the Honiton SAC club records!

What’s more it is also now a new best in terms of the Angling Trust specimen scheme for the area record, even better the fish is an angling trust Specimen for the Area.
