Exmouth Tae kwon-do ace Rachel Johnson returned from the European Championships with a medal to show for her great efforts.

The 20-year-old from Exmouth who has been training in martial arts since the age of eight, came home with a bronze medal in the team sparing category and came fourth in the individual sparring category and fifth in patterns.

Rachel took up the sport just five years ago and already she has been crowned Southern Champion no fewer than four times, Welsh Champion twice and British Champion twice.

Now her trophy cabinet at her family home in Exmouth has that Euro bronze to add to the growing collection.
