Twelve members signed on to fish the first LRSAC Wednesday league match of the year, writes Darren Herbert.
Forecasted high winds meant the venue was moved to Lyme Regis. Anglers were fishing from 6.30pm until 10.30pm, targeting the most number of species. Murky water, with a big sea swell made fishing hard. Most anglers opted to fish from the Victoria Pier and the North Wall, to seek shelter from the wind and waves.
First was Mark Mather, who gets five points, second place was Darren Herbert, who takes four points and third place was Tony Bessford, taking three points. The fish brought to the scales, before being released back, were: flounder, five-bearded rockling, pout, dogfish and shore rockling.
