Chard 19, Honiton RFC U14s 20
On Sunday, the U14s travelled over the hill in to Somerset to play Chard and came away with their fourth win on the bounce but they had to work for it and it was in the end a very narrow win.
At half time they were 10-7 up with touch downs from Dion Warner and Ben Morris and in an end-to-end game in the second half they scored two more through Hamish O'Brien and Warner's second of the day. Chard also scored twice and kicked a conversion but Honiton held on for a narrow 20-19 win. Stuart Clapp was picked out as Honiton's Man of the Match.
Tiverton 29, Honiton U15s 49
Honiton U15s had their first taste of floodlit rugby as they went over to Tiverton for a Friday night fixture. Despite being slightly under strength, they ground out a good win. At half time it was still anyone’s game at 21-19. Wez Keywood, George Dowse and Harry Wright scored tries. In the second half Keywood got two more tries and full back Ben Kidson also dotted down. Wright kicked a full house of conversions.
and once again showed his goal kicking prowess with a full house of conversions. Tiverton did score twice but it wasn't enough and Honiton ran out hard earned by 49-29..
