Axe Valley Community College see off Colyton Gramnmar School in cup quarter final

Axe Valley Community College Year 10s booked a semi-final place in the East Devon Cup.

They defeated Colyton Grammar school by the odd goal in five.

It was a superb first half performance that saw them race into a three goal lead with Tony Pinder netting a hat-trick!

Colyton came back strongly after the break and twice reduced the arrears, but Axe Valley were not to be denied.

Axe Valley PE subject leader Tony Davies said: “ There were some excellent individual performances and of course Tony Pinder takes the plaudits for his first half treble. Skipper Jacob Rowe, whose control and distribution of the ball throughout the match was fantastic, was also a key figure in a splendid win.”

Axe Valley now meet Cullompton in the semi-final.
