Axminster Town set for East Devon derby at Budleigh Salterton

15:58 15 January 2013

Axminster Town stay in East Devon for their next South West Peninsula League, Eastern Division game when they visit Budleigh Salterton on Saturday.

The Tigers, like all but four of the teams in the division, sat out last weekend’s matches owing to waterlogged pitches.

The Tigers away from is not good this season as they have managed just two wins and a draw from seven away games. They have won at Alphington and Appledore, each time by a single goal margin, gone down at Civil Service, University, Exmouth Town and Teignmouth Town and drawn at Okehampton.

Saturday’s hosts have a similar poor record at their Greenway Lane home where they have managed to bank just half of the 27 points so far with four wins, two draws and three defeats.
