Five goal Farway

14:23 14 November 2012

Farway Res 5, Forton Res 3

Farway Reserves played a strong Forton Reserve team, at home, and went 1-0 down due to an early defensive mix up after a good start, writes manager Nigel Banks.

They equalised shortly afterwards with a well-worked goal from Matthew Hurford. Just before half time, Forton scored and took the lead again.

Early in the second half Farway levelled with another goal from Hurford. They followed up a really good period of play which saw them increase in confidence, by scoring three quick goals, two from Paul Salmon and one from Dan Williams.

The heavy conditions slowed the game. Farway had other chances but failed to capitalise.

Forton came back with a late goal with five minutes to go to make it 5-3 final score which was a really good result against a strong team.

It was an outstanding team performance.
