EXETER & DISTRICT YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE – Under 11s Division 2

Seaton Town Under 11s 6,

West Exe Warriors 5

This Saturday Seaton Town Under 11s travelled to Exeter to play West Exe Warriors.

The football field had not been cut and the grass was very long and Seaton soon realised this was going to be a difficult match.

The game was scrappy with players having to result to the long ball as the football would just not roll anywhere. At half time the score was 4-4 with Seaton not playing particularly well, one goal scored by a good William Hellier header and three for an Edward Kenworthy hat-trick.

In the second half, Seaton lifted their game a little and Edward Kenworthy scored another two goals to lead 6-4. West Exe scored a late goal, but Seaton held on for the win 6-5. Seaton goalie Alfie Tucker-Vincent put in a fantastic second half performance making numerous saves to keep Seaton in the game and easily won the Man of the Match award.
