Millwey Rise Reserves were beaten 3-0 on their visit to Lympstone Reserves for a Macron League Division Eight game, writes Dick Sturch.

The Lympets proved to be a strong, hard-tackling side that Millwey/s youngster found hard to deal with in the first period which ended with the home side leading by two goals at the break.

The second half proved a little more successful as Millwey upped their game, but a vital goal still eluded them.

Lympstone didn’t add to their tally until the 88th minute to run out 3-0 winners.

For Millwey, Matt Rockett was outstanding for his effort in both attack and defence and was named winner of the Rise Man of the Match award, sponsored by Axminster Printing Ltd.

On Saturday (November 10), Rise Reserves welcome Tedburn St Mary to Cloakham (2.15pm).
