Honiton Town banked a point from an entertaining South West Peninsula League Eastern Division home game against University.

The Hippos, who led 2-1 at the interval, had to settle for a draw at the end after a 3-3 draw.

In the Macron League the wet weather left a number of games being postponed. There were just four played in the Premier Division, but they did produce an eye-catching 29 goals between them!

Top scorers in the top flight were Seaton Town who climbed off the foot of the table, and dumped Okehampton Argyle there after thrashing them 9-2.

Colyton were next best, certainly in terms of goals scored as they beat visiting Topsham Town 7-2 and there were clean sheet wins for Exwick Villa, who beat Lyme Regis 4-0 and Feniton, who went one better, beating Exmouth Town 5-0.

There were just three games in Division Two with two of them having East Devon teams involved. Axminster Town Reserves and Tipton St John shared four goals at Tiger Way while Honiton Town’s second team were beaten 8-0 by high-flying Whipton & Pinhoe.

There was East Devon involvement in four of the five games played with pride of place going to Ottery St Mary who won 6-1 on their visit to Newton St Cyres.

There were two East Devon derby fixtures in the division. Budleigh Salterton Reserved hosted Otterton, who departed with a 3-1 win and East Budleigh went one better, winning their derby at Axmouth United 4-1. Beer Albion Reserves were 4-2 home winners over North Tawton.

Just two games survived in Division Four and both had East Devon links with Feniton Reserves going down 6-0 at Hemyock while Lyme Regis Reserves were 5-0 home winners against St Martins Reserves.

Exmouth Spartans hit the goal trail, winning 8-3 on their visit to Starcross Generals for a Division Five meeting.

Three games were played in Division Six, one of them saw Offwell Rangers in action at Witheridge Thirds where they lost 4-0.

A couple of East Devon teams were in Division Seven action with East Budleigh Reserves being edged out 4-3 by visiting Bickleigh, but there were three points for Otterton Reserves, who won 4-1 at home to Kenn Valley United.

Three games beat the rain in Division Eight with Millwey Rise Reserves involved in a 0-0 draw at home to Tedburn St Mary Reserves.
