Seaton Under-8s had mixed fortunes in their latest two matches in the Exeter and District Youth League.

First up they slipped to a 2-0 defeat in a contest of few chances in which the defences held sway for the most part. Leo Gribble put in a fine shift for the team in this game and the goal keeping of Leo Gribble was of the highest order as he displayed safe hands, good saves and great distribution throughout.

Their second game produced a 3-0 win over Colyton. A cheeky back-heel from Henry Matthews together with gals from Max Nevell and Leo Gribble saw them to a deserved victory. Coach Alan Hale said: “Everyone played their part. Hopefully the weather will be kind for the rest of the season as the boys really benefit from playing regularly and are clearly enjoying their first season of football.”
