Exmouth Amateurs 2, Seaton Town 4

Town’s fortunes have taken a turn for the better after this, their third success within seven days and their fourth win in as many outings.

Boosted by a midweek 2-0 cup triumph at Exmouth Town where Joe Simmons netted both goals, Josh Stunell’s side returned from Warrenview with three more points to leave themselves just four points off a top four spot in the Premier Division table.

Town had led 2-0 before Ammies got one back before the break. In the second half the two goal margin was restored only for the home side to again reply.

The contest was eventually sealed in favour of Town with a late fourth.

Cameron Vere (2), Mark Hancock and an own goal made up the Town scorers.

Town boss Josh Stunell said: “What a difference a week can make. It’s not too long ago that I was lamenting that we could not buy a win and now we’ve bagged three inside seven days. The feel good factor has returned. Mind you, a lot of hard work has gone in from the players to turn our fortunes round.”

Town have a match day off this Saturday, returning to action the week after with a mouth watering Fresha League top flight game at home to title chasing Feniton.
