Upottery lifted by second half comeback at Hemyock

Upottery boss Dan Prettejohn saw his side turn round a half-time deficit to claim all three points at the home of his former team, Hemyock.

Trailing 1-0 at the break, Prettejohn simply asked his team to keep plugging away, convinced they would eventually get their just rewards and that’s precisely what happened.

Sam Winslade got on the end of a some neat approach play to level things up and then Catalin Pislaru took advantage of a ball up and over the Hemyock back line before applying a polished finish and the points were sealed when young Winslade slammed a superb second and his side’s third.

Prettejohn said: “Rarely has a result left me so happy. It was extra special being back at a pace which hold’s many great memories for me. We played well, especially in the second half and were clinical with our finishing.”

On Saturday the villagers host Lympstone who sit ninth in Division Three, three places and three points below Upottery.
