Wonderful Winsalde as Upottery stay in hunt for promotion berth

17:21 04 April 2012

Sandford 1, Upottery 5

Upottery continued to press for as high a finish as possible and boosted their outside promotion hopes with another convincing win on their travels.

Sam Winslade bagged a brace whilst their were single goals from Stuart Coombe, Chaz Lane and leading scorer Catalin Pislaru.

A white-booted Richard Pring put in a great shift, but the undoubted star of the villagers show was young Sam Winslade.

Boss Dan Prettejohn said: “Having sat through one of the poorest collective shows last time out, my lot had me purring with a wonderful all-round performance. We continue to chase as high a finish as possible in the hope that even fourth place might take us up a Division.”
