Former Honiton Town boss Gary Osbourne has made a swift return to management to take over the reigns at Fresha League Division Three side Offwell Rangers.
Osbourne watched his new side lose 7-3 at Dolphin in Exeter on Saturday.
He said: “Dolphin look a very good side, but I was impressed with the general work-rate and effort from the Offwell players and feel there really is something to work with there. I’ll not be making instant changes. I’ll have a god look at what we have before seeing if we do need to add strength”
Osbourne left the Honiton Town hot seat six weeks ago, citing a need to use the time he was spending on football matters for other things. He said: “I did have a situation that made me feel being away from the game would help. However, I quickly got fed up with shopping and gardening on Saturday afternoons and am thrilled to have been given this chance at Offwell. I am looking forward to the challenge and can’t wait to get going.”
Osbourne took training tonight (Wednesday) when he will formulate his side to tackle visitors Ottery St Mary on Saturday afternoon.
