Fresha League begins for East Devon clubs this weekend

The Fresha League starts a new season this Saturday and local clubs will be in action across the nine divisions.

Seaton Town start their campaign with a trip to Tiverton to meet Elmore Reserves who were promoted out of Division One last season.

There’s away action also for Beer Albion and they too journey to Mid Devon to face Throverton.

Upottery begin life at a higher level after last season’s promoion when they travel to Culm United for their first Division Two outing.

Colyton also travel, they go to Crediton United Reserves in another Division Two game.

Axminster Town Reserves begin their Division Three campaign with a home game against Cheriton Fitzpaine whilst Axmouth United entertain a henrys Cronies side promoted three divisions by the league management after they stormed away with the Division Six title last season.

Lyme Regis are new to the Fresha League this season having made the switch from the Perry Street league and they begin their Division Three campaign with a visit from Woodbury.

Another new team is Ilminster Town Reserves who have switched from the Somerset League, but are not in action this weekend.

In Division Four Awliscombe begin their season at home to St Martins whilst there is Division Five action for Feniton Reserves who face Starcross Generals.

In Division Six Beer Albion Reserves host Alphington and Dunkeswell Rovers entertain Railway Club whilst Seaton Town Reserves host Langdon.

In Division Seven Hemyock host Pinhoe and Offwell Rangers are at home to Chagford.

Colyton Reserves begin their Division Eight season entertaining new boys St Martins third team.
