Honiton ladies will be well represented at the National Competitions to be held at Leamington, Warwickshire in August, writes Joan Mackintoch.

Sue Evans has qualified to play in the four wood ladies singles and has also qualified with Carole Binmore to play in the ladies pairs competition.

The final score of the mixed triples friendly at Budleigh, 79-47, did not reflect the match in which two rinks drew 16-all with the other rink scores being L Howell, B Nichols and S Howell (24-7) and Y Williams, G Kille and M Bright (23-6).

A mixed friendly at home to Chardstock was lost and, in this contest, the best home rink was the one of D Tooley, C Pidgeon, G Kille, M Bright (16-11).

In the mixed friendly against visiting Tiverton Park, Honiton lost on three of the four rinks, but won overall 71-56 with the top rink being J Granger, M Fowler, S Howell (23-9).
