Seaton Under-8s drew one and lost one in their latest brace of Exeter and District Youth League games, writes Alan Hale.
First up they took on City Raiders in a contest that finished 1-1. Seaton enjoyed greater possession and had the better chances. They played some really good football and will feel they ought to have made more of the opportunities their enterprising play produced. Aaron Hale netted for Seaton whilst Henry Matthews had a fine game up front, working hard and always looking to find space and open up the itch.
Next up the team took on a Whipton side that raced into a 3-0 half time lead. After the break Seaton rallied well, scoring two goals whilst the Exeter side got one more to compete a 4-2 victory. Young Hale scored both Seaton goals and was a constant threat in both morning matches with his pace, trickery and eye for goal. Devon Welsh had a solid game in defence. He is one of a number of players who are improving as the season rolls on.
