The sport of hockey is enjoying a terrific 2018 what with the Commonwealth Games in Australia followed by the Women’s World Cup, which ended recently in the country.

There has also been a big push and support from England Hockey to encourage people to get involved. Honiton Hornets Ladies Hockey Club is a very friendly ladies hockey team that enjoy having fun and share a passion for their sport.

The club start a new pre-season on Monday, September 3 between 8pm and 9pm at Exeter School.

The club are keen to recruit new members and they are certainly open to all abilities with the age of prospective new players needing to be 14 or over.

Nee players are always welcome to simply join the club to learn the basics, for the purpose of improving general fitness or to polish up existing skills and play for the clubs ladies’ league team which sees action each Saturday morning from September to March.

The club are inviting prospective new members to enjoy a free session on September 3 or 10.
