However, in the next ICL game Honiton lost 86-55 to Isca Gold, with the one winning rink being the one of Ted Cox, Denis Hillyear, Gerry Stafrace and Bill Nicholls, 20-10.

A mixed friendly with Taunton Deane resulted in a 67-60 loss. In this fixture the top Honiton rink was the one of Joyce Granger, Dave Yardley, Jimmy Smith and Tony Broughton, 28-7.

There was a resounding win for Honiton in a friendly against Feniton with the final score being 119-62. The top Honiton rink was the one of Marian Baxter, Ron Rogers, Dave Yardley and Margaret Bright.

Best wishes go to five Honiton lady bowlers Rita Barwick, Carole Binmore, Joan Heard, Rosemary Hirons and Shirley Hiscocks who will play for Devon against Wiltshire in the prestigious national county knockout competition known as the Atherley later this month.
