The latest Honiton seniors’ meeting was played as a Texas Scramble and the event was blessed with both good weather and good scores, writes Ann Desmoulins.

The winners were the threesome of Stan Squire, Kit Barker and Alex Neil with a score of 59.2.

Second place went to Tony Williams, John Birch and Fred Utting with 60.8 and third were the trio of Duncan Hepburn, Alan Richardson and David Rogers with 61.6 while fourth were Nigel Broadbent, Brian Hoepelman and Bill Phillips with 61.9.

There were six twos, each receiving nine balls. The twos were recorded by David Scott on the seventh, Mike Sennitt on 12th and on the second by Trevor Bradley, Dave Rogers, Fred Utting and Brian Morrison.
