Honiton ladies’ latest - Rogers reigns

22:51 16 April 2014

The sun was shining for the ladies at Honiton last week, writes Andy Wagner.

There was no rain or wind to speak of, but in the April Medal competition this week many of us suffered a very long game, and it was Liz Rogers in Bronze 2 Division who showed us all how to play, scoring net 70 to get a well deserved first place.

Di Wall was second with a net 79. Janet Hughes also managed to stay well ahead of the field coming first in Bronze Division One with a net 71.

Second with a net 74 was Gill Johnson and Linda Blundell was third struggling in with net 82.

In the Silver Division it was Elizabeth Ward who took first place with net 77, while Olwen Eaton was second a point behind on net 78, and Sarah Loader third with net 79. The 9-hole Stableford was won this week by Jean Smith.
