The winners of last year’s Honiton ladies’ section monthly medals competed for the best overall position and winner of the 2014 Medal Trophy, writes Andy Wagner.

This year the trophy went to Joan Smith with a score of net 73. Elizabeth Ward was runner up with net 75. On the same day the scores these two players achieved in the Medal Trophy also took them into the prizes for Silver Division in the monthly medal competition with Smith taking first place and Ward second.

First place in Bronze One Division went to Linda Northover with net 75. Christine Luttman was second with net 77 followed by Janet Hughes in third just a point behind on net 78. Sharon Dacre was fourth with net 80. Linda McLaughlin came in looking very cold and wet, but still managed first place in Bronze Two Division with net 79, while Jan Portlock was second with net 81. In the nine-hole stableford first place went to Maureen Tollemache.
