Honiton ladies’ success for Gee, Johnson and Eyles

PUBLISHED: 12:25 07 August 2014 | UPDATED: 12:25 07 August 2014

Honiton ladies put their best foot (or rather their best shot) forward this week in a Texas Scramble competition, writes Andy Wagner.

The teams of three were made up of one player from each division, so with experience and shots available on all holes, and only the best to count, it was a great opportunity to come in with a fine score.

Diana Gee, Gill Johnson and Julie Eyles did just that as they sailed home under par with a net 71.4 to take first place.

Second and third places were just a whisker apart with Jane Watts, Stephani Barnes and Catherine Hunt just ahead on net 72.4 , while Ann Trayling, Lesley Farley and Margaret Jory were third with a net 72.5.
