With a lovely sunny day and a course that is coming into very good condition the seniors should have made mincemeat of the latest stableford competition, writes Andy Wagner.
In the event, only five players beat par, even though twelve of the 76 participants made a two. With one or two exceptions it was the usual suspects who made the running.
Division One was won by Andy Sharland with a 39. On the same score were Max Pipe, John Dickinson and Dave Morgan. Pete Morgan took the last prize.
Division Two was led by Bob Cockett with a 38 - a new name at the top of the leader board! Robin Mitchell made 36, as did Howard Pritchard. Fourth came Bob Cleal and George Smith took the last prize.
