A large field enjoyed the warmer weather than of late to play the monthly drawn for partners greensomes stableford competition for the Chivers Trophies, writes Andy Wagner.

The winners this month were Sue Ritchie and club president Alec Gosling with 39 points.

In second place were Sue Calver and John Dickinson with 36 and third place was decided on countback with Maureen Tollemache and Chris Poole (35), followed by Liz Rogers and Bob Barnes, also 35 points having to settle for fourth.

Thanks were expressed to Maggie and Max Pipe for organising the month’s competitions and it was noted that they had managed to ‘arrange’ the Tuesday weather during their time enabling members to play each week.
