The last of the Winter League matches were played last week with captain Ron Graham and past captain Dave Morgan contesting the Sun Am Final against Phil Wall and Andy Sharland, writes Andy Wagner.

Alongside this match the rest of the pairs contested the Plate. The Sun Am was a straight forward, winner-takes-all match play contest with the Plate a betterball stableford.

The match play contest was a bit more straight forward than it had looked on paper with dark horses Phil Wall and Andy Sharland winning three-and-two.

However, the Plate went right down to the wire with three teams finishing with 39 points. Countback was called into play and the winners were Richard Reece and Mark Fowler.
