Honiton Town Under 10s played their first matches since early December when they welcomed Lympstone and Feniton to St Rita’s.
In the first game versus Feniton, a slow start after the long lay off saw them ship four goals in the first half.
A much improved performance after the break saw them compete and create a few half chances before eventually going down 5-0. Oliver Turl in goal helped keep the score respectable and there was another energetic display from Ben Spence.
Game two against Lympstone continued the good work and stout defending helped limit a powerful team to few chances.
Despite conceding a goal in each half, Honiton can be pleased with their performance, especially Matthew Costanilla who was a rock throughout.
Jack Hawker, Will Whitworth and Harvey Newton also deserve a mention and there was an encouraging first appearance from Aaron Stevens.
