Seniors Golf

In benign weather conditions, with the fairways much dryer than recent weeks, 72 members of the Senior Section took to the course to contest the first of the monthly competitions of the New Year. Although the greens were a little inconsistent due to recent hollow tyning, the fairways were giving good run and distance with consistency of bounce. As a result some very impressive scores were carded. In division one Jim Rowland - Rees(12) carded an excellent 41 points with David Lines (12) and Paul Galloway (14) close behind each with 39 points. David Lines secured second place on countback. Division two saw a magnificent 43 points scored by Rob Hampson(21) with Royston Davies(21) second on 39 and Ian Lyon(21) third with 35 points.
