Littletown Primary Academy are celebrating their latest gymnastics success.

The youngsters were on duty at the Devon Schools’ Floor and Vault gymnastics competition held at Exeter Gymnastics Club earlier in the month.

The Under-11 girls team finished in first place in the individual results!

Faith Symons won the gold medal and Hollie Moulton claimed the bronze.

The Under-9 girls team also triumphed in their age group with Caitie Lee taking the gold, Kate Hennessy the silver and Aimee Deam the bronze.

Completing a most successful competition the Under-9 mixed team then landed gold in their event in which Jon Glover also received the silver medal for the individual results.

The youngsters are all part of an after-school gymnastics club under the tutorship of class teacher Rachel Bodgin.

A delighted teacher said post event: “I am delighted with the results, but especially pleased about the team spirit and enthusiasm of all the children. They did themselves and the school proud.”
