Lyme Regis Golf Club latest – Seed keeps going!

Lyme Regis Golf Club junior vice-captain George Seed continued his impressive run of form by combining with his father - club vice captain Roger Seed and Adrian Morgan to win the 3-ball better ball competition with 74 points, writes Richard Jackman.

Second, after countback was called into play, were David Binns, Charlie Lane, and Bob Shepherd with 72 points.

In the Ladies 4-ball better ball, lady captain Lizzie Linnert combined with Di Smith to score 41 points and on countback beat Jane Southcombe and Susan Moore. Sandra Barclay and Kim Beauchamp came third with 39 points.

Matt Watson won the juniors’ stableford with 35 points from Lewis Cottam 31 points and Stuart Wight 29 points in second and third place respectively.

The seniors played Burnham and Berrow at home and managed a 3-3 draw which may be difficult to repeat away later in the year. The last of the club’s winter quiz nights will be held on Tuesday, April 8, so now, roll on summer!
