Second was Roger Turner, keeping the male side of the Turner household represented, with 39 points and third, on countback, was promising junior Cameron Moss, 39 points.

Division Two saw Neil Thomas have a solid round to win with 35 points from Jeremy Linnert 34 points who pushed the effervescent Mike Hankey, enjoying his second podium finish, into third on countback.

Jane Southcombe was again on sparkling form scoring 37 points to win the Centenary Sword from Cyndy Mudford, 32 points with Rosie Jackman third with 29.

Caroline Baker won the committee cup with 33 points. Jane Broom’s 27 points tied with Ronnie Turner, but it was Jane who won Division Two on countback.

Hardy B captain Mark Colley won the Candles On The Cobb golf day with an excellent 41 points, and with Shane Stone and Mike Hankey, won the team prize. Mark and Shane then won their Hardy B pairs match and overall the team halved the away fixture against Moors Valley.

Erratum. In last week’s edition I said that it was Beryl Turner who presented the ladies’ trophies but it should have been Beryl Denham - apologies.
