11:08 24 July 2014

Lizzie Linnert, Lyme’s lady captain held her fun day on Thursday with the ladies playing a Texas scramble,l writes Richard Jackman.

First, with an exceptional 50 stableford points were Gilly Madill, Di Dick, Jean Moss, and Susan Moore with Jane Southcombe, Jenny Scott, Jane Andrews and Jane Dixon taking second spot with a score of 46 points.

There were also two ‘nearest the pin’ prizes on offer, at the eighth, won by Di Dick, and on the 11th where Emma Davies took the honours.

Jenny Scott won the longest drive. There was an added bonus for Jane Southcombe who scored a hole in one on the long par three, 13th!

The weather was idyllic and the ladies enjoyed a relaxing day out followed by a meal.

Club captain, Matt Searle held his club day on July 19 and there is club day being held this Saturday (July 2) - both of which will be reported on here next week.
