Lyme Regis men’s team won their 1st round Daily Mail match against Bridport and West Dorset progressing through to meet Fingle Glen, writes Richard Jackman.

Lyme ladies also won their 1st round. The ladies were the last to use the 15-hole winter layout to play their March medal and on the reduced course Rosie Jackman beat Kim Beauchamp on countback with a net 54 with Lesley Jelleyman third with a net 56 and Susan Moore fourth with 57.

At long last the full course opened on Friday to allow a spate of knock-out matches to be played and also the juniors were able to play a competitive stableford on Saturday. Lewis Cottam had a convincing win with 38 points from Cameron Moss, 35 points.
