Lyme Regis ladies’ found a window in the recent wet weather to play a 15-hole stableford competition last Thursday, writes Richard Jackman.
Di Smith won with a competitive 29 points from Jane Southcombe (28) and Anne Humphreys (27).
It was Southcombe who picked up the twos pot.
Just an addendum for last week’s report; congratulations to John Toates who finished second equal with Alastair Purcell in the Wellings Salver, a seniors’ competition where the best six stableford scores count.
Although a few trees and branches have been lost to the winter weather the course has stood up very well, and golf has been possible on most days especially the 15-hole layout, testimony to the hard work of David Everett and his green keeping team.
