In the Junior Order Of Merit, it was a tight scrap at the top as Dominic Beardwood with a nett 70 just beat two-handicapper Stuart Wight on countback with Bradley Searle third with a nett 71, writes Richard Jackman.

In the June stableford there was success in Division One for Roger Turner, eclipsing all with a brilliant 41 points to take his handicap down to single figures, beating the in-form Jon Ebdon who edged Chris Brice into third spot after both finished with 38 points and countback was used to separate the pair.

The Division Two winner was Peter Locke with 41 points from Steve Piper (37) with Thom Barclay (25), third.

In only the second seniors’ stableford of the year, Division One was sealed by Danny Hopkins with his winning score being 36 points.

Second went to Peter Tinsley (35) and Richard Jackman was third with 34 on countback.

The best score of the day was the 37 points recorded by Barry Coleman to win Division Two with Bob Shepherd second with 36 and third, after countback, was Roy Mathisen with 34.

It could not have been more keenly fought in the ladies 4-Ball Better Ball as all three pairs finished with 43 points.

On countback Jean Falconer and Karen Nicholson took gold from Jane Dixon and Lesley Jelleyman in second with and Sassy Hay and Beth Rowlands-Rees claiming third spot.
