Five Axe Valley runners took part in the Haldon Santa, writes Dave Mutter.

This is officialy a 10k race, but is actually run over a route of 4.8 miles.

Eleanor Wood, dressed as Mother Christmas was third lady in 38:30 and despite ripping his Santa trousers Geoff Woodward completed the race in 42:00.

Gill Day, Jess Tubbs and Janet Woodward entered into the Christmas spirit all finishing in 58 mins, but en-route at 4.5 miles there was a celebration as Janet Woodward hit her 1,000th mile of running this year.
