The three-lap Exeter Half Marathon was a two-day event with one race on Saturday and the other the following day, writes Dave Mutter.

Emma Kiernan ran on Saturday finishing 35th out of 191 runners in 1:29:19 (PB). In the Sunday race, Angela Kerr came 111th, 1:57:40 and Martin Kerr was 242nd, 2:22:45.

In all there were 276 runners.

AVRs, Graham and Diane Newton along with their daughter Paula, ran the second Worthing half-marathon on Sunday.

They lined up for the start by Worthing Pier in bitterly cold winds, although the snow was kind enough to stop in time for the run.

The course winds around the streets of the town but starts and finishes with long straight stretches along the sea front.

They all finished very, very cold, but happy with their performance. Graham was first in, at 1:35:20, Paula was next in 2:07:47 and Diane got home in 2:26:47.
