Offwell Rangers 4, Railway Club 2
Offwell Rangers picked up their third win of the season in a contest full of attacking endeavour.
The visitors were quickly into their stride talking an early lead with an element of good fortune – the ball entering the Rangers net via a defenders leg!
The response was excellent and parity was swiftly restored with Dean Thomas the scorer.
Dan Taylor then fired Rangers into the lead only for the Railwaymen to quickly level courtesy of a header that flew past the bearded home glovesman Alex McCreadie-Taylor, to send the teams into the break all square.
Within minutes of the restart Offwell were awarded a penalty and skipper Karl Allen duly tucked the spot kick away to give his side the lead once more.
Both teams continued to provide a contest of end-to-end play, but Offwell looked the stronger and, with 20 minutes remaining, the points were sealed when Allen thundered home a free-kick from some 40-yards.
Offwell Rangers are keen to say a huge thank you to the Windmill Garage for their continued support and sponsorship. The local business have again provided the club with a magnificent kit for this season.
