There is competitive pony racing on the card at Great Trethew on Sunday, April 1, when the East Cornwall Hunt hold their second meeting. First race, the 138 is off at 12.30pm. Eight entries have been received, headed by Bronze Lawrance who Tyler Heard will be hoping can give him his first winner.
Tyler, 11, is in his second season of pony racing and will take on last year’s multiple winner Bejowan’s Bouquet (Tina Smith) and the fast improving Talponciau Perfect Print who was given a great ride to finish third last time out by Michael Treneer.
The 148, off at 12.50pm, is a full card of 10 and Hannah Welch will be looking to double up having won the race last year with Vadlawalkover. Tina Smith, qualified with the host hunt, has her first outing on prolific winner Tarka and Heidi Lewis will hope for another good run from Miss Mopsy.
