Pugh and Gaudie triumph at Axe Cliff

16:31 25 February 2014

The Axe Cliff ladies joined the seniors for a mixed Greensome.

John Pugh and Helen Gaudie landed first place.

Second place was determined by the back nine score and eventually went to the pairing of Hugh Willis and Alison Cook with Gilbert Cox and Lesley Crawford taking third spot.

The Axe Cliff men enjoyed good weather for the playing of the re-arranged Hangover Cup.

It proved to be a good day for Alan Cooper as he took first place with Richard Gibbons in second and Craig Trivet third.

There were three twos with Paul Clode, Stuart Mackie and Craig Trivet the players who recorded them.

The Axe Cliff ladies also played a round of their Winter League and this produced a victory for Helen Kenworthy with Margaret Kenchington the runner-up and Pat Ayshford took third place.
