Honiton U15s were up against Newton Abbot opposition and they are one of the more fancied units with in the county so, on paper, this was very much expected to be tough encounter, writes Jerry Rice.

Playing up the Allhallows slope, the first half was evenly balanced and it was the visitors who scored first with a long range try. Johnny House redressed the balance with a try and Harry Wright holed out the conversion.

Finn Parrott crossed with a trade mark bullocking run which was also converted, which meant Honiton turned round 14-5 to the good .

With the slope advantage, Honiton upped the ante in all departments and they took total control of the game.

As the tries were run in, the opposition heads dropped and in the end Honiton ran away with the result. There were further tries for Chris Lynch, Wez Keywood, Finn Parrott and Richie Webber with Wright adding two more conversions.

The final score was an impressive all round team performance with a 38-5 score line in Honiton's favour.
