In the Junior Order of Merit Dominic Beardwood’s superb nett 65 raised the family golf bar, writes Richard Jackman.

Cameron Moss and George Yorke tied on nett 68, but it was Cameron who came second on countback.

In the May medal there were some excellent scores in blustery conditions. In Division 1, three men tied with a nett 68, but Dave Riches came first on countback followed by Todd Larcombe, and Roger Turner third. In Division Two Tom Barclay stole the show with a nett 70, from Steve Piper nett 71 and Jeremy Linnert nett 72.

Ladies Day was washed out for the second week in a row, but the ladies Mail on Sunday team triumphed over Bridport by three matches to two to progress to the next round.
